The first few days of our community exposure has been eventful as we expected. It demands a level of tolerance for things are far from what we consider as convenient. We felt nervous a few days into the deployment towards Mahayag, but it is just mainly due to the fact that we have yet to embark on something that we virtually have no idea about.
Beneath that however, lies the eagerness in us to experience Mahayag ang Brgy. Sta. Cruz for ourselves. So the day of the deployment came, the early call time and the entire stretch of the trip has given us the chance to catch up with each other in terms of how we spent our brief holiday break. Along the way, we were grateful to see the greenery and the mountains, the past year had mostly just allowed us to wait through traffic and look at concrete buildings lined with glass windows.
Having witnessed the change during the trip was definitely a breath of fresh air. We also have come to notice that the towns activity has progressively become slow paced and laid back as compared to the hustle and bustle of the city.
