Rain or shine, Purok 4 residents warmly welcomed our group during our inauguration ceremony. After the rigorous process of canvasing materials and building these structures, we finally turned over our sawyer water filter and solar disinfection stations.
Before turning over, the group held a short program stating the purpose of the station and giving thanks to the people involved in the realization of the project. The Bantay Tubig sa Tanan Committee were also introduced and took their respective oath. The members of this core group are as follows:
>Mr. Arjilou Restauro, Purok 4 Kagawad
>Mrs. Remedios Villanueva, BHW for Puroks 3 & 4
>Mrs. Lydia Ontolan, Purok 4 President
>Mrs. Luzviminda Vicente, Purok 4 Resident
Afterewards the residents were made to try out our different stations. With so much joy and amusement, the residents said that our project made a difference in their lives. We are happy to know of the change we are able to bring forth in the community.
We would like to thank the following:
✓Mu Sigma Phi of the UP College of Medicine for the provision of the Sawyer Water Filter;
✓Kuya Arjilou Restaura, Purok 4 Kagawad, for helping us build the different structures needed for the station;
✓Ma'am Elsa Restauro, SACRUWASA President, for the provision of materials needed for the station; and
✓MENRO for the availability of 100 PET bottles that we were able to purchase
Atimanon ang komunidad, kuyog sa pag uswag.
