In ensuring the sustainability of Aksyon Laban Altapresyon, training core members from different puroks in taking blood pressure readings is essential. The team held a BP Taking Training at the Sebastian Lobitaña Elementary School covered court.
The program started with a lecture on the important facts of BP taking and a step-by-step rundown on its steps. It was then followed by a return demo from the participants with corrective feedback given.
Blood pressure taking kits, shirts, and certificates of training were also turned over to our Bantay Presyon Officers. Thankfully, the search for the members of this group has proved to be easy due to their eagerness to learn and willingness to render their skills to the residents of the barangay.
We would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Zain Nuruddin, Hypertensive Specialist, for the provision of 7 manual blood pressure kits, and Mr. Renato Loyala, Principal of Sebastian Lobitaña Elementary School, for allowing us to conduct the said activity in the school grounds.
